July 14th Meeting Recap & Community Updates

We hope this message finds you well and enjoying a safe and sunny summer season.

We’d like to take a moment to update you on some exciting developments and decisions made at our July 14th meeting:

Bake Sale Success & Thank You!
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who baked, donated, helped out, or simply came by to support our recent CB&DRA Bake Sale. With your help, we raised over $1,500 in support of the Tree Fundraising Campaign. Congratulations to the winners of the Sarah Brunne cupcakes and mini cake — your sweet treats were a hit!

Euchre Tournament – New Date: Saturday, September 27th Please note the new date for our Second Annual Euchre Tournament, which will now be held on Saturday, September 27th from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hope Community Church.

    Fun Day Update
While we had hoped to host a Family Fun Day this summer, as a new board we’ve realized that taking time to get our bearings is important. That said, we are excited to plan a Fun Day for Summer 2026, and we’re confident it will be worth the wait!

    Volunteer Call-Out
We are always looking for helping hands. If you are interested in volunteering at events like the Euchre Tournament, helping with ongoing park maintenance, or lending a hand with organizing future initiatives — please get in touch. Your time and support make a huge difference.

    Park Improvements
Thanks to the efforts of Robert and Paul, we have added another picnic table to the park for all to enjoy. A big thank you to both of them! Also, our community involvement student has been working hard along the cedar hedge line on the left-hand side of the park to clean and tidy the area. We are still looking for someone to help with grass cutting for the last half of July — please let us know if you're available.

The Best Bakers on the Beach

The Bake Sale on July 5th was a huge success!
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported and attended our recent CB&DRA Bake Sale.

Whether you baked, volunteered, or simply stopped by to purchase some delicious treats, your support helped us raise just over $1,500 after expenses — an incredible success for our small community!

Congratulations to the lucky winners of the Sarah Brunne cupcakes and mini cake raffle — Rachel Andrews, Sheila Singh & Mark Schober - we hope you enjoyed your sweet prizes!

We also had a few attendees express interest in volunteering at future events.

If you or someone you know would like to get involved, please don’t hesitate to reach out — we’d love to have you on board.

    With gratitude,
The Cumberland Beach & District Ratepayers Association
